What are Ad Codes and why do you need them?
In some campaigns, you’ll be asked to add an Ad Code. This is a special code that allows the brand to run your content as a paid ad on social media—without having to create a new post themselves.
Your content stays on your profile as usual, but it can also be promoted as an ad.
TikTok = Spark Ads
Instagram = Partnership Ads
The brand can copy your Ad Code from Refluenced and use it in their Ads Manager with a set budget to run your content as an advertisement.
How to add an Ad Code to a campaign:
Go to the relevant campaign
Open your Reel or TikTok (it will have a red frame if the Ad Code is missing)
Paste the Ad Code into the designated field
What does this mean for you as an influencer?
Your content will be used by the brand as an ad to reach more people
You’re giving the brand permission to promote your content
You don’t pay anything—the brand covers all ad costs
You benefit from additional reach and increased visibility
How to know if an Ad Code is required:
Scroll to the bottom of the campaign overview. If you see “Branded Content,” you’ll need to add an Ad Code.
